1. Acceptance of the terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Boozen mobile application and any related services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Who can use Boozen
You must be at least 13 years old to use Boozen. If you are under the age of legal majority in your country, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
3. Your account
You sign in to Boozen using Apple or Google. You are responsible for the security of the account you use to sign in and for all activity that happens through your Boozen account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately.
4. What Boozen does
Boozen lets you take or select a photo of a building, landmark, or place. The Service processes that photo using AI to identify the likely geographic place and building, stores the result in your personal archive, and lets you revisit your archive across sessions.
AI-generated results are best-effort interpretations, not guaranteed facts. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unexpected. You should not rely on Boozen for critical, safety, or navigation decisions.
5. Your content
You retain ownership of the photos and notes you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content strictly as needed to operate the Service for you — including passing it to trusted third-party AI providers for analysis. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train public AI models.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload Your Content and that Your Content does not violate any law or any third party's rights.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Upload illegal, harmful, hateful, or sexually explicit content.
- Upload content you do not have the right to share, or content that violates someone's privacy.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, probe its infrastructure, bypass security, or abuse our API.
- Use the Service to build a competing product or to harvest data in bulk.
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, especially when user safety or platform integrity is at risk.
7. Third-party services
Boozen uses trusted providers to run parts of the Service — including cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud / Firebase), AI analysis (OpenAI), and authentication (Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In). Those providers process data only as needed to deliver the Service to you and operate under their own terms and policies.
8. Changes to the Service
We keep improving Boozen. We may add, change, or remove features, and we may pause or discontinue parts of the Service. Where it's practical, we'll let you know ahead of major changes.
9. Fees and in-app purchases
Boozen's core features may be free or include optional paid features. If we offer paid features, they will be clearly labeled before purchase. Purchases are handled by the Apple App Store under Apple's terms. Refunds are governed by the store's refund policy.
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties — express or implied — including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and quiet enjoyment. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI results will be accurate.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boozen and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, revenues, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) USD 20.
12. Termination
You can stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion by emailing us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end immediately.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the developer's place of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You may have additional consumer rights under the laws of your country of residence — those rights are not affected by this section.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
